This course will give both leaders and colleagues an increased understanding of the issues in the workplace that can affect mental health, how those issues can damage confidence, capacity and the achievement of potential that comes from a sense of wellbeing.
You will gain an awareness of how to spot signs and symptoms that something is not right – both in yourself and in others.
You will also be given strategies for positively supporting your own and others’ wellbeing and indications of where to signpost anyone who may need more support than a good listener.
This course covers the following Learning Objectives:
- To increase awareness of wellbeing and mental health in the workplace.
- To understand the impact – both on individuals and on organisations - of a failure to provide adequate support to enable resilience and wellbeing.
- To foster understanding of the impact of the COVID-19 situation on our general wellbeing.
- To increase understanding of managing wellbeing in the workplace – including self-care and how to support others when you first notice a need and then signpost to relevant support.
